We gathered after lunch at Old Town Square and then went on a walk past the Church of Our Lady before Týn and St. James Church, continuing to the Powder Tower, the Municipal House, and the Czech National Bank building.
The main part of the program took place at the Museum of Senses, where everyone could try out various optical tricks and illusions. The classic trick with a head in a bowl of fruit was especially popular. The museum had a relaxed atmosphere, and shared experiences quickly connected all participants, regardless of age or nationality.
We ended the afternoon in the cubist café at the House at the Black Madonna. The stylish setting, excellent coffee, and beautiful cakes created a pleasant environment for informal conversations. Families, students, and volunteers all had the chance to share their experiences and get to know each other better.
The whole event took place in a friendly atmosphere and confirmed how important in-person meetings are for building a strong and supportive community within the YFU host program.
